PARD Meeting About Roy G. Guerrero Park & Disc Golf

Tuesday, July 19, 2011 (21:54:28) Waterloo Event
Waterloo Club Members, Fans, Friends, and Supporters of Disc Golf...

I have been teasing you and prepping you about a big event, well now I can tell you, THIS IS IT AND WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

Do you remember that lost gut feeling after losing Pease Park before it was replaced? Do you remember the helpless frustration and anger you felt that you couldn't (or didn't) do anything to fight against it and give Waterloo DGC Support when we asked for it?

Well here is your chance at redemption to ATTEND THIS MEETING and let the Disc Golf support be shown.

The Waterloo Disc Golf Club Board Members will be presenting our supportive case and encouragement for an 18 Hole Disc Golf Course at Roy G. Guerrero Colorado River Park.

Please note: We DO NOT NEED SPEAKERS on behalf of the support for this; we have representatives and community members delegated to perform these tasks. (so thank you if you wanted to speak)

This is a presentation for the PARD (Parks And Recreation Department) Board emphasizing our: topic points, statistical data, and factual information from the various representatives so that they can make the educated decision to allow Disc Golf to be developed in the park.

As noted: This presentation will allow the PARD Board to evaluate and weigh the options in regards to the future of Disc Golf in the Park.

If you remember previously, in November/December 2010 there were very short notices and prompt meetings requesting both sides of information FOR and AGAINST Disc Golf Development in R.G.G.

We asked the Disc Golf community for support and gathered what we could... and in the end, our opinion was drowned out by those who opposed and did NOT FAVOR disc golf in the park.

We need YOU, YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR KIDS, the OLD AND THE YOUNG, and EVERYONE ELSE who supports putting an 18 Hole Disc Golf Course in Roy G. Park to COME TO THE MEETING. We want to show the PARD Board that Disc Golf is supported by ALL AGES and diverse backgrounds!!

Our sport is the ultimate equal opportunity sport!!

We NEED YOU AND ALL OTHERS TO FILL THE MEETING HALL with Disc Golf Supporters... and BRING YOUR DISC or MINI to hold silently as a visual reference that YOU VOTE AND PLAY DISC GOLF in Austin; after all, we cannot have everyone speak, but we can have EVERYONE HOLD A DISC!!
This will show the PARD Board that we can support our causes and show up in great numbers; so when they look out in the audience, they can SEE YOU, YOUR SUPPORT, and YOUR DISC!

Tuesday, July 26, 2011 - 6:00 p.m.
Boards and Commissions Room
