Local tournaments

Post Posted: Thu Feb 07, 2013 11:05 am

I'm looking to play in some best-shot/doubles tournaments around Austin.
I'd appreciate any information about weekly local events.
Nothing too official, just the kind of thing where you show up, put in five or ten bucks and draw cards for partners.

I know there is a weekly random draw doubles mini on Thursday evenings at Zilker, but it is night golf (so lights on the baskets and most players use the small LED lights you can tape to you discs). Lot of fun, and usually well attended.

I think there is also a weekly one at Wells Branch, but not sure of the day/time. There is a Wells Branch club facebook page, I think this is the name of it: Wells Branch Disc Golf Club.

I think there also might be one up in Round Rock, but again, not sure. The club up there is called Double R Disc Golf Club and they have a facebook page too that likely has the info.

During parts of the year, there is one at Searight on Friday, but according to the info I could find, it is singles during winter and spring, and random draw doubles during summer and fall.
