Wells Branch course redesign beginning October, 2012

Tuesday, October 9th, the Wells Branch (WB) MUD Board will vote on the disc golf course redesign, finalizing the expansion of Wells Branch to 18 holes that began last year. Hurray for a long design process coming to a successful and happy completion!

If you have time and are interested, please feel free to come to the meeting and listen to the presentation. I believe we'll have unanimous approval for the course from the MUD board, as we have the local stakeholders in agreement on the redesign plan.

The meeting starts at 6:30 PM. and disc golf is one of three projects being voted on that evening. We'll also hear about renovations to the pond and tree planting along the streams in WB's Katherine Fleischer Park.


ABOUT THE REDESIGN:
The 7 baskets which are N of WB Parkway will be relocated to the south side of the course, so the starting point will change to Owen Tech Blvd. sometime in the next few weeks. (park on the roadside across from Whataburger)

Over the next few months, concrete teepads will be installed as well as limestone blocks for signage and benches, similar to Roy G. The new design includes two par 4s (#4 and #14) and will benefit from the plentiful trees at the south end of the course.
